SAP Subscription Order Management (SoM) Lead
Location – Anywhere in India, Hybrid Mode, need to be at Office for 4 days in week
Employment Type – Full time with ApexMinds Technologies
Position Overview:
The SAP Subscription Order Management (SoM) Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of subscription order management processes within SAP systems. This position requires in-depth knowledge of SAP Subscription Order Management functionalities, including integration with billing, revenue recognition, and other relevant SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the implementation and management of SAP Subscription Order Management (SoM) solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth and effective integration of SoM processes.
- Manage the configuration and customization of SAP SoM solutions to meet business requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Subscription Order Management within the SAP ecosystem.
- Act as the primary point of contact for issues and support related to SoM processes.
- Ensure that subscription-based products and services are correctly configured in SAP and properly integrated with billing and revenue recognition.
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of SAP SoM systems to enhance performance and functionality.
- Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures for subscription order management processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to subscription management, such as order accuracy, processing time, and revenue recognition.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure efficient use of SAP SoM functionalities.
- Lead change management initiatives and assist in managing the full lifecycle of subscription offerings, including order creation, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and patches related to SoM functionality.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with business rules, subscription terms, and revenue recognition standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with SAP Subscription Order Management (SoM) and related modules (e.g., SAP Billing, SAP Subscription Billing).
- Proven track record of managing and leading SAP implementations or enhancements in a Subscription-based environment.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CRM, SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of subscription-based business models and related processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Experience with integration of SAP systems with third-party applications for subscription billing and revenue management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- SAP certification (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) or related certifications are a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to manage large-scale projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of order-to-cash (O2C) and billing processes within the SAP ecosystem.
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications for improved user interface and user experience in subscription management.
